--Named Senior Rabbi of Congregation Solel in Highland Park, IL at age 31, after serving three years at Chicago Sinai Congregation.

--One of five Reform Rabbis from across the country selected as a 2009-2010 Commentator for Union for Reform Judaism's Ten Minutes of Torah, a weekly email sent out to over 20,000 subscribers. The commentaries can be found under each Torah portion and the year 5770 at


--Commentator for URJ Eilu v’Eilu series with Rabbi Leon Morris.


--Chapter on Contemporary Reform Judaism is forthcoming in Elliot Cosgrove, ed. Jewish Theology in Our Time, Jewish Lights Publishing, 2010.


--Several scholarly articles have appeared in the CCAR Journal.


--Essays have appeared in New York Jewish Week, Chicago Jewish News and Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle.


--Graduated with high honors from Stanford University in 2000, with a major in history. Senior honors thesis studied Louis Brandeis and the American Zionist movement, and one section explored Brandeis' relationship with, and the role in American Jewish history of, Louis Marshall.


--Guest-lectured and taught at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, Congregation Shirat Hayam in Nantucket, MA, Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, the Skirball Center at Temple Emanu-El, Congregation Emanu-El of San Francisco and numerous interfaith groups.


--Married to Rabbi Arielle Poster Moffic, Rabbi-Educator at Congregation Sukkat Shalom in Wilmette, IL; father of Hannah (3) and Tamir (1).
